Women
have battled for equality and empowerment for many decades. Women's empowerment
is defined as enhancing their self-esteem, capacity to succeed, ability to make
their own decisions, and ability to live a life with the ability to do
anything. This movement may appear to be simple to achieve, but we still have a
long way to go before we can attain true equality. Women have made a tremendous
contribution to our society and have helped to form who we are today. This
should be sufficient motivation to empower them and provide them the respect
they deserve. Women have been more empowered than ever before in this epidemic,
working as front-line responders and leaders. These strong women inspire young
girls to strive, make their own decisions, and believe in their own value.
People
have differing perspectives on the idea of "empowered women," which
can include a powerful politician, a devoted mother, a business entrepreneur,
or even a little girl with good self-esteem. This epidemic has shown me that
women play an important role in society, which should be a stronger motivator
to empower them. Consider the case of New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda
Ardern. Her and her team won against COVID, which made them famous throughout
the world. Many women worked in hospitals as frontline workers, risking their
lives to aid the country.
Due
to the epidemic, we spent most of our time online, which allowed us to
highlight gender equality and women's empowerment. This has caused me to
reconsider my view of a strong woman. My mother, my instructors, my friends,
and my idols are all "empowered" women because they are successful,
confident, well-aware, independent, and supportive of other women. Seeing women
be empowered and rewarded for their achievements gives me confidence in my
gender and motivates me to take charge of my life as a young girl.
